Девиз «Никто, кроме нас!» уже давно стал символом не только профессионализма, но и особого братства десантников. День десантника празднуется 2 августа не случайно: в 1930 году в этот день под Воронежем в ходе учений ВВС Московского округа впервые в СССР был высажен воздушный десант в составе 12 бойцов. Они десантировались с бомбардировщика с парашютами для выполнения боевой задачи. Это событие стало доказательством возможности быстрой переброски войск по воздуху, что положило начало созданию воздушно-десантных частей. Позже 2 августа и было выбрано как официальный День ВДВ.
