So my luck finally ran out the other day and I got rear-ended at a roundabout. It's not major, but the rear bumper is cracked and the tailgate has a decent dent right on the crease line, so it's not going to be a simple pull-out job. I've been driving a Patrol for years now and I've taken it to a few places around the city for mechanical stuff, but I've never really had to deal with bodywork and paint before, so I'm a bit clueless about where to go. I could take it to the agency, but I've heard they can be pricey and take ages, and honestly, with this heat, I don't want to be without my car for too long. I've been driving around the industrial area and saw a few workshops that claim they can fix anything, but I'm really fussy about paint matching on these big metallic blue Patrols. I found a place that bills itself as a Leading Nissan body shop in Musaffah Abu Dhabi and their work looks decent in the photos they've posted, but you can never really tell until you see it in person. What's held me back is the horror stories about places that use cheap paint that starts fading or peeling after a few months, or don't get the panel gaps right and you end up with uneven shut lines. Has anyone here had bodywork done on their Nissan recently, specifically around the rear, and can vouch for a place that does proper paint matching and uses good quality clear coat? I'd rather pay a bit more upfront than have to get it redone in a year. Also, any advice on dealing with the insurance claim process for this kind of thing would be really helpful, I've never filed one before.
