A major launch is approaching for Aion 2, and NC is using a large-scale technical test to make sure its servers and supporting systems can handle the pressure of a full MMORPG release. The upcoming test gives players an opportunity to experience a limited version of the game while helping the development team identify problems before launch. For players already following Aion 2 Items, the test also provides an early look at how progression and the game's wider systems will function.
A Two-Day Test Opens the Servers
NC has scheduled the open launch-scale test across two days, September 17 and 18. Unlike a conventional closed beta, participants will not need an invitation, access key, or special qualification. Anyone interested can download the test client and join during the designated testing periods.
The test is available through Steam and NC's Purple platform, giving players two straightforward ways to access the build. Pre-loading is already available, so participants can prepare the installation before the servers open. This approach should allow NC to bring a large number of players into the same environment and generate the kind of server activity that is difficult to reproduce through smaller internal tests.
Different Hours for Each Testing Day
The first testing window runs from 6 a.m. to noon Pacific Time, or 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Time, on Thursday. The second window moves later on Friday, running from noon to 6 p.m. Pacific Time and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
Players should pay attention to the different schedules because the two days do not use identical hours. Progress made during the first day will carry over into the second testing session. However, that progress is temporary. Once the technical test concludes, the test environment will be wiped in preparation for the official release.
Progression Has a Defined Level Limit
The test build will include a level cap of 37. This restriction is designed to keep participants focused on the portions of the game that NC wants to examine during the test rather than allowing them to reach systems intended for higher-level characters.
The level limit also helps control the amount of content being accessed while the development team concentrates on server stability, matchmaking, connectivity, combat activity, and other technical factors. Players should therefore approach the test as a stress test rather than a complete preview of everything that will eventually be available.
Several Systems Will Remain Disabled
The testing environment is deliberately limited in several important ways. Players will not be able to make purchases, and player-to-player trading will also be unavailable. The Marketplace and Quna exchange will not operate during the event, meaning participants will not be able to evaluate those economies through the test client.
Founder’s Pack rewards will not be accessible either, even for players who already own them. The Closet system will also be disabled, leaving participants with only the default appearance options. These restrictions help NC focus the test on infrastructure instead of letting commercial and customization systems generate additional server activity.
Platform Details Before Official Release
Players using Steam should pay special attention to the installation process. Those who own a Founder’s Pack and qualify for Advanced Access will eventually need to remove the separate test application and install the normal game build when that access period begins on September 30.
Purple users have a simpler transition because the existing installation can update for the head-start period. Regardless of which platform players use, the goal is ultimately shared access to the same game environment. The official launch is scheduled for October 5, while eligible players can begin earlier on September 30.
For players preparing their characters and future progression plans, Aion 2 Kinah for sale may become relevant later when the game's normal economy is active. During this technical test, however, the focus remains firmly on server performance and system stability rather than trading.
The upcoming test therefore represents an important preparation step before the full MMORPG experience arrives. With open access, temporary progression, a level cap, and several disabled systems, NC is clearly structuring the event around technical testing rather than permanent character advancement. Players can use the opportunity to become familiar with the game while contributing useful activity to the servers before launch.
