Drug education is an effective tool for preventing future offenses and promoting healthier lifestyle choices. Alamo Center's drug offender education (DOEP) aims to educate individuals and assist them in making better choices. The program focuses on raising awareness about the risks of drug use.

 Participants are taught that substance abuse can result in detrimental relationships, legal issues, and serious health issues. They are encouraged to carefully consider their actions by this information. In addition to education, the program emphasizes personal growth.  Participants are louisiana court classes instructed to examine their previous actions and determine areas for improvement.
