If you've been tearing up the roads in Forza Horizon 6 trying to 100% your Discovery tracker, you might have run into a bit of a roadblock with the Radio Towers Point of Interest (POI). There is a lot of conflicting information floating around online right now. Many early guides mistakenly list a mainland location for this POI, while other players are confusing them entirely with Tokyo Tower.
To clear things up: you cannot find the Radio Towers on the main map. They are located exclusively on Legend Island, which serves as the endgame map expansion. If you've been driving around the mainland looking for them, you can stop wasting your fuel. You can only trigger and complete this Discovery entry once you have gained full access to the island.
How to Unlock Legend Island
Because Legend Island serves as the ultimate endgame zone, you can't just drive over there right from the start of the game. You need to officially lift the barriers to the island by earning your way in. Here is the natural progression path to get there:
-
Earn Horizon Festival Points: Accumulate enough points by diving into the core game modes—complete plenty of road, street, dirt, and cross-country events.
-
Speed Up Progression: Win races, hunt down and smash bonus XP boards across the map, and secure three stars on PR stunts to fast-track your level.
-
Get the Gold Wristband: Keep pushing until you complete the final wristband event, which officially rewards you with the prestigious seventh Gold Wristband.
-
The Bridge Showcase: Once you have the Gold Wristband, you will unlock a special showcase event. Complete this cinematic drive across the bridge to permanently unlock access to Legend Island.
Finding and Registering the Radio Towers
Once you finally roll onto Legend Island, tracking down the Radio Towers requires a slightly different approach than the standard mainland POIs you are probably used to. Keep these details in mind to make sure your visit counts:
-
The Location: Head away from the coastal areas and drive out toward the highest peak. You will want to look for the elevated dirt paths that branch off adjacent to the main paved loop of Legend Island. The towers sit high up on these ridges.
-
Triggering Discovery: This is a crucial detail that trips a lot of people up. You must drive directly through or right up next to the structures while playing in Freeroam Mode. If you happen to pass through this area during an active race or while playing a Horizon Story event, the game will not reward you with the discovery credit. Drop out of events and just cruise there in free roam.
-
Watch Out for the "Nangan Bug": Don't panic if your map tracker does something strange when you find the towers. Due to a known regional tagging error in the current build of the game, discovering the Legend Island Radio Towers frequently acts as the missing 6th Point of Interest for the mainland Nangan Region. If you have been stuck at a frustrating 5/6 status for Nangan, triggering the Radio Towers on the island will usually correct your tracker to 6/6.
