Version 4.4 In Ravages Does the Whistle Sound is finally launching on July 15. To be honest, this is easily my most anticipated update of the year — not for the Fate collaboration, but for Himeko.
That’s right: the very Himeko who brews coffee at the front of the Astral Express is finally getting her SP form — Himeko • Nova.

The ending of Version 4.3 was absolutely packed with massive story reveals — Lord Ravager Asat Pramad dropped his disguise to show his true form, shattering the fifteen years of peace that had held in Planarcadia. Himeko vanished after facing him head-on in direct combat. I was completely wrecked when that scene played out.
For the Version 4.4 Trailblaze Mission, players will follow the clues Himeko left behind before her disappearance to track her down. The story has even dropped hints that "she may have died as far back as fifteen years ago" — this plot thread has been building for so long.
That’s why the arrival of her Nova form isn’t just a simple skin swap — it’s a core part of the narrative.
Himeko • Nova is a 5-star Fire unit on the Path of Erudition, but she plays nothing like the original Himeko. Her core mechanic deploys a Territory and summons the giant Starblazer mech immediately at the start of battle. Every ally within the Territory gains an Assist Skill, which can be triggered at any time to command the mech into unleashing a full-screen AoE attack. Her Ultimate is even more impactful — the entire team pilots the Starblazer together to launch a coordinated all-out assault.

What’s more, her kit is clearly designed to lean into Astral Express crew synergy: when your party members are from the Astral Express, both the Territory and the Starblazer mech receive additional buffs. With March 7th, Dan Heng and Welt readily available, this setup is extremely new-player friendly — you don’t need to pull a handful of limited 5-stars to build a solid, viable team.
Lately I’ve been farming every possible source to save up Stellar Jade. I also made a top-up via COCODP — it’s way cheaper than the official channel and the order went through really quickly. The three redemption codes from the Version Preview Livestream added up to 300 Stellar Jade in total, but they’ve already expired. I completely forgot to redeem them because I was working overtime. What a brutal loss.
Himeko • Nova’s exclusive Character Event Warp runs for the full duration of Version 4.4. In Phase 1, her banner runs alongside reruns for Sparkle, Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae and Evernight. With four warps all available at once, the Stellar Jade crunch is real. My personal plan is to go for Nova first — I already have Sparkle and Permansor Terrae from previous banners, and I’ll play it by ear for pulling Evernight’s Eidolons.

On a side note, Phase 2 of the Fate collaboration launching on July 24 will give away a free 5-star character — be sure not to miss it.
I’ve been playing Honkai: Star Rail all the way from Version 1.0, and Himeko was my very first 5-star pull. While the original Himeko has never ranked high on tier lists, every shot of her standing by the Astral Express window in the Trailblaze Missions always feels reassuring. Honestly, seeing her return piloting a mech has me a little emotional. What’s more, Nova’s kit design is genuinely fun — instead of mindlessly stacking raw stats, she completely reshapes the entire team’s gameplay logic through her Territory and Assist Skills.

On a side note, I occasionally drop a few small gifts to show my support during official Version Preview Livestreams, the 2nd Anniversary creator livestreams and similar events. I use Poppo Live Recharge for these purchases — the platform offers a wide range of gift packs and processes top-ups very quickly.
July 15. See you aboard the Astral Express. This time, it’s my turn to come find you, Himeko.
