What is Winstrol?

(anabolic steroid) is a synthetic steroid, similar to testosterone, used to treat hereditary angioedema, which causes episodes of swelling of the face, extremities, genitals, intestinal wall, and throat. Winstrol can reduce the frequency and severity of these attacks. The brand name Winstrol is no longer available in the United States. Generic versions may still exist.

What are the side effects of Winstrol?

Common side effects of Winstrol include:

New or worsening acne,
difficulty sleeping,
headache,
changes in sexual desire,
nausea,
vomiting,
changes in skin color, or
ankle swelling.

In adolescent and adult men, side effects of Winstrol may include frequent or persistent penile erections and the onset or worsening of acne. In women, side effects of Winstrol may include hoarseness, acne, changes in menstrual periods, or increased facial hair.  Dosage

The use of anabolic steroids such as Winstrol can be associated with serious adverse effects, many of which are dose-related. Patients should receive the lowest effective dose possible.

What medications, substances, or supplements interact with Winstrol?

Medications that may interact with Winstrol include blood thinners, insulin, or oral diabetes medications. Tell your doctor about all medications you are taking.

Winstrol during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Winstrol is known to cause birth defects in the fetus. Do not take this medication if you are pregnant or may become pregnant during treatment. It is not known if Winstrol is excreted in human milk. Many  are excreted in human milk, and it is possible for anabolic steroids to cause adverse effects in nursing infants. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
